    3. What are my chances that the ref. desk will return an out-of-state call? Tried emailing their ask the librarian section only to get an error message something about an http - verb? Anyway, I'm needing an obit from 2002. I wanted to know if they needed a letter request or if I could request over the phone. Found a Russell L. Rhinehart who died there 27 May 2002 and suspect him to be the husband of my cousin Carolyn Comer Rhinehart. I'd like to see if I could find Carolyn still locally. Thanks for advice - Karen Nelson Hangsleben

    3. Just an added suggestion - Once you get a copy of the obit. contact the funeral home and/or church where services were held, and/or the cemetery where the deceased is buried, for a contact with the family. I usually send a written note to the survivor I am trying to contact in care of either the church, funeral home, or cemetery, with a request that it be forwarded, and send it Return Receipt Requested. I explain who I am and why I am contacting them. I have gotten great results. The Genealogy Nut
