Hi Diana - Peter Thomas was married twice -each time to a Margaret. The first time he was married to Margaret Russell d/o Hans Jacob Russell and Anna Margareth Brossman. We have not been able to find a surname for his second wife. By Margaret Russell he had these children: Margaret, Michael, Catherine, Elizabeth, David and Rosanna. By the second Margaret he had - Polly, Sarah, Mary Ann, Peter, John, Nancy and Susanna. Susanna and Nancy were twins. William Pope was also married twice. By Rosanna Thomas m. 1810) he had Mary Ann, Josiah and Rebecca, and by Catherine Kelly (m. 1815) he had Jane, William Alexander, John Henry, Thomas E. and George. After William Pope died Catherine Kelly Pope married Jacob Houck. Mary Ann Pope daughter of William Pope and Rosanna Thomas was the wife of Manasses Neikirk s/o Henry Neikirk and Nancy Furry. William Pope (1786) is a stumbling block in our research - we have not been able to find any clues to where he came from or who his parents or siblings may be. I hope that helps a little.
