    3. Hello everyone: Please forgive my intrusion. I only seek to ask a question. I know that many of you have found family members inter-married several times over, especially in the 1700's and early 1800's. I wonder if I could get your help and/or your opinion...how likely do you feel it would be to find that 2 of your 6th great-grandfathers were brothers? I have received documentation and other information from various family members, and records, and I have checked and re-checked. I thought I had already come across just about every inter-family type of connection. Has anyone encountered this situation? Thank you for your time and assistance. Fran

MD who drowned when his boat sank off Kent island in 1659). There had been just a lot of first and second cousin marriages among the prominent families of the area that were her ancestors. it seems it was the norm in the 1600s and 1700s . Lee

Seeking information on the ancestry and siblings of James Ford, the identity of the surname of Sarah, his wife, family letters, documentation on this family: James Ford born about 1749 in either Baltimore or Prince Georges Co, Maryland, the son of Thomas Ford and possibly Ann. James Ford married Sarah about 1770 and was of Frederick Co, Maryland at that time. The will of James Ford was written 24 Sep 1800 and probated 19 Sep 1801 in Washington Co, Maryland. Sarah Ford, wife of James Ford died after 21 June 1816 probably in Washington Co, Md. Children of this couple were: Freelove Ford born about 1771 in Frederick Co, Md. Freelove Ford married John Jack about 1795 in Washington Co, Md. John and Freelove Ford Jack were parents of two sons: Jeremiah Jack and John Jack. Jeremiah was born about 1796 and John was born about 1798 in Washington Co, Md. Did Jeremiah Jack move to Washington Co, Tn where there is a Jeremiah Jack on the records there? Isabel Ford born about 1773 in Frederick Co., Md. Isabel Ford married Henry Otto before Sep 1800 in Washington Co, Md. It appears this couple lived at Fort Frederick, Washington Co, Md for part of their marriage. Esther Ford born about 1775 in Frederick Co, Maryland. Esther married Daniel Harlan about 1792 in Washington Co, Md. This couple had a son, Jehu Harlan. The family moved to Ashland Co., Ohio. James Ford born about 1778 in Washington Co, Md and died Dec 1806 in Washington Co, Md. He had married Christena Renner 12 May 1806 in Washington Co, Md. No issue. Thomas Ford born 1790 and died Dec 1809 in Washington Co Md. Thomas did not marry. Hannah Ford born 1782 in Washington Co, Md and married Henry Houck before Sep 1800 in Washington Co, Md. This couple lived in Lower Makefield twp, Beaver Co, Pa apparently near William Blackmore (married to Sarah Ford, a sibling of Hannah) Joseph Ford born 1784 in Washington Co, Md. Mary Ford born 1786 in Washington Co, Md. She married Ellis Ellis about 1800 to 1806 in Berkeley Co., Va. Sarah Ford born 1788 in Washington Co, Md. She married William Blackmore 31 July 1802 in Washington Co, Md. This couple later lived in Second Moon, Beaver Co, Pa. (See also Hannah Ford Houck above) Henry Ford born 1790 in Washington Co, Md. Ann Ford born 1792 in Washington Co, Md; Her probate was 18 May 1810 in Washington Co, Md. (unmarried) Abigail Ford born 1794 in Washington Co, Md.
