Larry, Thanks so much for the lookup. I am now just as confused as ever--my (?) Letitia Smith d. 17 Mar 1850. I'm thinking she was Nancy's mother. Another Letitia Smith, who lived next door to Nancy, was 31 in the 1850 census, meaning that she was born c1819. I figured she must have been Nancy's sister. So who was Letitia C. Smith, b. 1806 d. 1868? And was Margaret Smith any relation? Too many Smiths ;-[ -- but I do appreciate your efforts.
