Frederick County Genealogical Society (FRECOGS) is having its Annual Genealogy Fair on Saturday, June 8, 2013. The Fair hours are 1 pm - 3:30 pm The fair is open to the public and ALL are invited to attend. Both novice and experienced genealogist will find information and guidance.and maybe a few new cousins. It has happened at past fairs. The fair is located at Homewood of Crumland Farm in the community room. Homewood is located at 7407 Willow Rd, Frederick, Maryland. Parking is free. And so are refreshments! Besides tables manned by FRECOGS members with topics of Getting Started, Marriage Records, Using Newspaper Research, DNA, and The Maryland Room of Frederick County, and Breaking Through Your Brick Walls, there will be representatives from the surrounding counties (Carroll, Washington, Montgomery, and more) as well as local historical societies with advice on doing research in their counties and facilities. There will also be books for sale by our members and from the other groups and societies. Door Prizes announced throughout the event.
