I was able to find some information in the apprenticeship records for the county - they are in the State Archives in Annapolis.  If your person had a trade, he may have made apprenticeship agreements to get a worker that he would then be required to train.  I was interested in the apprentice, but the record said who the trades person was and what the trade was etc.  Not a whole lot of detailed information but it was crucial for me. The person I was looking to tie back to my family had lost both parents, and his guardian set up the agreement.
