    3. Karen, In the estate distributions there is an estate for Peter Miller MILLER, Peter. Adm. Daniel, George Gehr. 5/30/1823. Heirs areJohn, Daniel, Sarah Otto, Rebecca Renner, Mary, Anna Otto, Elias and Peter. Here are early Peter Miller sightings in the Newspaper Extractiions from 1799-1805 1. Dec. 9, 1801 - Bartgis' Republican Gazette - Frederick "Peter Miller has taken up a stray cow which came to his plantation nr Harley's store, Fred, co." 2. Aug. 15, 1799, Maryland Herald - Hagerstown "A. Kennedy requests payment of debts; also to let stone house adjacent to Peter Miller's near court house" [This house was let the following spring to a dry goods merchant - next door was Peter Miller's. A year later he was in possession of the house Peter Miller had been in.] 3. April 18, 1801 Maryland Herald "Peter Miller, Hagerstown, offers reward for missing milch cows." 4. Nov. 5, 1801, Maryland Herald "Died Mon evening last, after a short but painful ilness, Mrs. Nancy Miller, wife of Peter Miller, Merchant of this town." 5. Dec. 7, 1803 Maryland Herald "To be sold, at the dwelling house of Jacob Orndorff, decd, 1 1/2 miles from Sharpsburg, his pers est. Susanna Orndorf and Peter Miller, ad./To rent store house, formely occ by Messrs. John and Hezekiah Clagett and how by Alexander Neill - Peter and Matthias Miller, Hagers Town." 6. March 18, 1804 Maryland Herald There is an approval of a school exhibition of Mr. Edwards. Included on the list are Peter Miller, hatter and Peter Miller, merchant. Later items include a partnership of Peter and Matthias Miller who made hats. In 1807 there is a reference to Peter Miller's Mill on the Conococheague 1 1/2 miles from Williamsport. He was having a machine erected to break and card wool. I don't know if these help, perhaps just to help sort.
