I seek the marriage record of Johann Peter HERR, Hessian Soldier who deserted to the Americans in August 1781, and was held at Ft. Frederick until the war's end in 1783. He appears in Hagerstown with wife, Susannah X, and a child baptised in the German Reformed Ch. of Hagerstown in 1784. The couple had 10 more children recorded in the Hagerstown Church over the years. I cannot locate their marriage record in Hagerstown and think they might have been married in Frederick Co. MD. Can anyone advise me where to look in Frederick and Washington Co. for German Reformed Marriages ca. 1782-3? John Rhodes
