Am interested in corresponding with you - I have a George Shaffer 1803-1890 who married a Steffy 1807-1886 - unsure of her first name. They had a daughter named Sarah who married John C. Robinson (my gg grandparents) I do not have alot on the Shaffer/Steffy side.

I have an earlier Shaffer family in Washington County - Theobald Shaffer who married Susanna Margaretha Kissinger of Hagerstown in 1751. I don't have children for them in my database but if anyone else has more information - please let me know. Susanna Kissinger is the sister of my ancestor Margaretha Gessinger. They had a brother named George so there may be a connection to this line.
