Lauren, Thank you so much for your time looking up Slifer info.! The William J. Slifer, buried at Locust Grove Church, is the son of John L. and Amanda (Hutzel) Slifer. John L. & Amanda are my gg grandparents. We walked that cemetery 2 years ago & got pictures. We're going back next month, to Frederick & Washington Co., libraries & historical libraries, to see if we can find any more Slifer info (my family) and info on my husband's Smiths from Cavetown & Wolfsville.
