    3. Hi George, No, I don't know of a connection. I have only the one name - Mary Barr - and the only connection I have for her is to my 5th great grandfather - Henry Trisler. I can tell you that the Trislers were a German family and other closely associated families included the Housers, Hoovers, Brunners, Rhorers and Cawbys. Do any of those names fit in with the Freaner name? I think most of these families (except for some Rhorers and one Trisler family that I can't connect to mine) left the Hagerstown area by around 1800 and settled in Jessamine County KY. To my knowledge, none of my family remained in Hagerstown after 1800. Sorry I couldn't help.
