L. Harne. Would like to know marriage date of David Harlan and Helen Harne, and any information about them. This information taken from an obituary of Lorenzo T. Harlan, son of David and Helen Harne Harlan, who was born October 10, 1862, in Maryland, and died December 25, 1888 in Leadville, Colorado. Helen Harne later married Peter Basinger, and is listed in the 1870 Delaware Co., Indiana census with her son Lorenzo Harlan. They later moved to Leadville, Colorado.     3. There are no entries under the Harlan surname in the Washington County marriage index 1799-1860. There are three HARN/HARNE brides in the marriage index but not Helen - later marriages are at Maryland State Archives and at the Washington County Courthouse. There are several references to a John HARLAN/HARLIN in Rice's THIS WAS THE LIFE - excerpts from the judgement records for Frederick County. There are both HARLIN and HARN marriages in Frederick County 1778-1810. Perhaps you'll have better luck searching in Frederick County.
