This information came through on the American Rev. Hessians list that I subscribe to. The discussion was about Ft. Frederick prisoners. Someone contacted the Ft. Fred. historian and this is his reply. "The only primary documentation we have for prisoners is British units sent here after the battle of Yorktown. Those units are: 17th Rgt. of Foot 23rd Rgt. of Foot 33rd Rgt. of Foot 71st Rgt. of Foot, 2nd Battalion Light Infantry Battalion North Carolina Volunteers We know that some of the troops from the Convention Army were sent here. However, we do not have a list of the specific units. We also do not have any primary documentation that shows Germans being sent here. If you have something, I'd love to see it.
