Hi Nicky, Beard's Graveyard, near St. Peter's Lutheran (Beard's) Church, is a Cavetown area cemetery dating back to 1830. It is in a rural location of the Smithsburg/Leitersburg area. Lesa Pfrommer (_Lesapfrommer@aol.com_ (mailto:Lesapfrommer@aol.com) ) has been a good source of information for me in the past on that cemetery. Another cemetery worth considering is Christ Reformed Church Cemetery, at Cavetown. I do not know exactly when it was started, but it dates back to 1830 or close to it. Smithsburg Cemetery, at Smithsburg, is yet another old cemetery of the area, but whether it goes back as far as 1830, I do not know. Good luck with your search. Bob
