The Hessians and The Other German Auxiliaries of Great Britain In The Revolutionary War by Edward J. Lowell has in Appendix D: Hesse-Cassel sent in 1776-1782 some 16,992 men. In the autumn of 1783 and spring 1784 10,492 returned. This is just an example of part of the approx. 30,000 men from the Hessen regions who served for the British in our revolution.
