Tim- While I never heard a name for it, there was/is an old building just north of Kemp's Mill on the Old road that was used before they relocated the "Greencastle Pike". It's up near where that road now deadends, on the right side of the road. As a kid, I heard it referred to as the distillery. I think someone uses, or did use it, as a private home now. WE used to go there occasionally - I can't remember what we bought there, but am sure it wasn't anything produced by a distillery. This was back in the '30's. Seems there was a sawmill or something near there, on the other side of the road, at that time. Would be interesting what you may develop.
