Lauren - I think that some of this is probably my Blecker/Blecher family. I show John and Barbara in the 1810 Census of Lower Antietam with 1 son under 10 and 2 daughters under 10. She died in 1814 - maybe in childbirth? John is supposed to be buried in Keedy cemetery so he never left Washington County. In 1810 they were 2 houses away from the Lantz family and the Bratners were on the same census page - so they certainly were in the same area. Daniel Keedy married Mary Furry and John Keedy married Martha (sisters). So it appears they were a very family oriented group : ) I am out of the loop - I descend from a different sister. I'd have to check my land records, but I think my husband's ancestor George Brantner may have purchased part of his land from David Furry. In another of life's ironies I have two connections from my mother's families to Washington County MD even though her PA families never lived there. I have both a Lantz and a Hoover intermarriage in Illinois and Indiana to my mothers relatives - both men were from Washington Co. MD.
