    3. Washington County followers: I have some wives of children in my 1750-1800 Johann Jacob Brumbaugh family that I would enjoy having some help in identifying their origins: John Brumbaugh (ca 1760-1829) son of Jacob and perhaps an Elder and farmer, was married about 1780 I think to Mary Elizabeth who we think was a Miller. She was born in Frederick Co ca 1772. She died in 1834 in Bedford Co, PA. John was a Brethren or Dunker and we suppose she was too. Any ideas on what Miller family she belonged to? There were several I think in the area North and West of Hagerstown. We have one daughter of theirs as "Eva Miller" which also leads in the same direction. Other children we David, Daviel and Jacob as well as Mary which was John's mother's Christian name (Mary Elizabeth Angle or Engel). Daniel S. Brumbaugh (ca 1772-1824), son of Jacob and a farmer, married about 1797-98 an Elizabeth (1779-1860) who may have been a Long family member. There were Longs who were in the general neighborhood. Their children included Susanna, Elizabeth, Daniel David, Louisa, Maria, Thomas Jefferson, Isabella and Rosanna Caroline. They were Reformed. George Brumbaugh (1783-1840?), son of Jacob, was a brewer and farmer, married about 1800 a Marie Louisa (or Lovice) Gelwicks or Gelwix who is also thought to have been from a nearby family. There was a Frederick Gelwicks from Emmitsburg referred to in a 1824 Fred Co court case. I also do not have a confirmation of the origins of Johann Jacob Brumbaugh¹s own wife who is also Mary Elizabeth and we think her maiden name was Angle or Engel originally. Might be the daughter or sister of Henry Angle who lived in that Conococheague neighborhood. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I enjoy watching the chatter on this ListServe; it's very informative. Thank you! Ned
