Sharon There are three routes to Hagerstown MD from where I live. I travel one Route to Hagerstown MD by going through Taneytown to Emmittsburg MD. Going NE Past Emmitsburg will take you into Adams and Franklin Co PA. Littlestown PA to Gettysburg will circle around to the same area. Both are in Adams Co., to South Mountain Have you checked the Blue Ridge Summit Library (In PA) online? Sharon & Patrica: I live in Baltimore County, so when I go up to Franklin Co., Pa. I take a old indian trail across country and end up in Reistertown, Md. where I get on to route 140 which runs thru Westminister, Taneytown, Emmittsburg and connects with route 16 (Pa) in Adams Co., Pa.. This trip is about 85 miles and I make it several times during the Summer months. Two of my uncles in the early 1800's married the two daughters of the Emmitts, so I enjoy driveing thru the old towns and staying off of !-70 thus Hagerstown which would actually be out of my way.
