I take a old indian trail across country and end up in Reistertown, Md. where I get on to route 140 which runs thru Westminister, Taneytown, Emmittsburg and connects with route 16 (Pa) in Adams Co., Pa.. This trip is about 85 miles and I make it several times during the Summer months. Two of my uncles in the early 1800's married the two daughters of the Emmitts, so I enjoy driveing thru the old towns and staying off of !-70 thus Hagerstown which would actually be out of my way.
