Could anyone tell me how to find out what the profession or craft was followed by an individual? Are there tax records that might state profession or records of apprenticeships? I am interested in Thomas Hudson who lived in Boonsboro from about 1810 to 1850. He was not a farmer and was on a street surrounded by various craftsmen. I have a hunch he might have been a saddler, but would like to prove this. I would appreciate any hints that might help me find out more. Thanks, Joan in Ohio
