    3. Roger, This family dates back to before 1740 in PA if I recall correctly - Pfafenberger and other spelling variations. There is a Poffenberger website that will pop up when you Google it and there is a Poffenberger Bible in the library in Hagerstown, but they are the Wash Co parts of the family. William's History of Frederick Co. has some data in it on the family. I tracked them for awhile because Mary Brantner married Christian Poffenberger. I needed to sort, but I didn't track them all.
