    3. Lauren: There are quit a few Stoners in Cedar hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Pa. and they are to be found in scattered cemeteries also in Franklin County. Not sure of this but I think they were Old Order River Brethren from Germany. There are two such congreations Shank's Church outside of Greencastle and the other ine is in Upton, about 12 miles away. They are very similar to German Baptists in practice. I have a few in my line. A couple of land descriptions are also there. If I recall correctly Stoner's are mainly Church of the Brethren and there is a Stoner historian who used to monitor this list who wrote a Stoner history. It has been a long time since I worked on Stoners - unfortunately the one who married into my husband's family did not show up in the history. I am hoping he still does and you will get some info from him. I am thinking his name is Richard but I could be wrong - you know how oldtimer's disease treats your mind.
