    3. Has anyone done any research on the Barton Watts who came from St. Mary’s Co., MD to Washington Co.? He died sometime before 1828 in Washington Co. I believe he’s the same Barton Watts who married Susannah Goodson in 1798. I’d like to know who his children were. From what I can tell there were two Watts families in Washington Co. at about the same time, one came from England and the other from St. Mary’s. ======= Email scanned by PC Tools - No viruses or spyware found. The newspaper abstracts by Wright indicate that there is a marriage announcement in the Torchlight of December 23, 1830: "Married Thurs last, by Rev. B. Also in August of 1804. In the July 2, 1801 Maryland Herald is this entry in the letters at the post office listing: "Barton Watts - N. Rochester, P. M." You should be aware that Watt and Watts were used interchangeably at times. Morrow and Morrow's Will Index indicates there is some sort of estate document for Barton in 1828 and one for Thomas in 1829. The only other entry is for a Lydia A. and she has both a will and estate documents in 1882. In Fuller's Family Bible Records in the Washington County Free Library there are a few entries in a Boultt Family Bible. Watts, Elizabeth, father Wm, Mother Sarah. 3. Bob, The "Estate document" that Lauren mentioned is an inventory listing for Barton and is very short. There was no Will listed. Henry also filed an administrator's account in 1830, again short and not very informative. All of these can be found on line at www.familysearch.org . I also checked Washington County land records and found nothing for Barton or Thomas. There are a few Watt(s) in the Washington Co. Cemetery Records, but none for Barton or Thomas.
