Laura, Thank you very much for the Binkley/Beckley and Fasnaught lookups. We, and the folks at Washington County Archives, think the Henry Beckley, d. 1813, is really a Binkley. We have some work to do to sort this out. Hi Laura, Do you see any Walker's, Snell's, Ball's, Hager's, and Kirschner's? No rush; just when you get a chance. It's very kind of you to do all of these look-ups. Thank you, Linda
Hi Laura. Thanks for the look up - I realized later that since he died in another county, it was unlikely he'd be listed. When you have a breather from all these look ups, I'd like to hear what Ridenours you've been looking for. First name could be George or Frederick. George STEORTS / STORTS / STOTS etc was born near Hagerstown in 1769 according to 1850 census records. He died in 1851. His father was said to have fought "under Washington. The family came from Germany, at one time lived near Gettysburg." I have not been able to find the father or any other family members. I have wondered if the father died in the Revolutionary War. I have no documentation on George until 1817 in WV. By that time he could have had a first family before marrying at the age of 58 in 1827. This strange German name has been found spelled in many different ways. We have a DNA Project under STORTS. Thanks in advance for checking for me.
