Object of bill is to obtain decree for sale of lot westward of Fort Cumberland of which Joseph French, of Allegany Co. died, seized or possessed, intestate, leaving children: Robert French, Samuel French, Phebius French, Daniel French, David French, Mary French, Joseph French, and Anna French, and a widow Annah French. Hi Roger, I was just wondering whether you any information on any more TRAVIS ? I have a 3x great grandfather named James CRONK who in the 1850 census for Bennington, Morrow Co. OH lists as his wife Sarah. Now I have been corresponding with a distant cousin who told me James was married to a Sally TRAVIS. Later on their family moved to Montour, Tama Co. IA. Actually they were part of the founding fathers of Montour.His son William Henry CRONK took his family and moved to Dixon, Lee Co. IL. I know sometimes women with the name Susan or Sarah, also would go by the nickname of Sally. Up til now I haven't come across anything on her. The census says she was from New York. Thanks, Brenda

Roger, The only Betebenner in estate distributions is Rosanna Betebenner who is an heir of Samuel Baker in 1820 and Samuel Baker, Jr. in 1825 both distributions administered by Jacob and Frederick Baker. Another distribution was made in 1830 for Samuel Baker. There are four Betebenner burials in the Boonsboro Cemetery - Ezra and Mary his wife plus two of their children. I would be interested in the Startzman information also. Elisabeth Rhoads, dau of my husband's ggg Grandfather Jacob Rhoads married Henry Startzman (no date, but by 1797). They had four children all born in or near Cumberland, Allegany, Md. Thoae ? (Thomas), christened 16 Jul 1808, Hannah Rosina, christened 16 Jul 1808, Sara, christened 16 Aug 1810, Abraham Startzman, christened 24 Nov 1812. All were christened at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cumberland, Md. Elisabeth's sister, Susannah, married Jacob Isenhart in 1801 in Cumberland, Md. In the early 1850's, she (her husband is dead), her son Jacob and his family moved to Ogle, Co. IL and later to Carroll Co. IL. Susannah is buried in the Plainview Cem. in Mr. Morris, IL. I have a 1779 marriage between Mary BRANTNER and Joseph BRYANT in Washington County. I have not been able to find any Bryant listings - some BRYAN entries exist but those are not plentiful.
