    3. Hi, There are only about a dozen other Butchers, earliest born 1844, all buried in Mt. Olivet Cem. (Frederick city). Oh, and there is a Thomas Butcher (11 Feb. 1867-24 Sep. 1951), but as you thought "your" Thomas had died c1906, did not think to include it before. Here are the names: Charles T. and wife Daisy G. I grew up in Montgomery County Maryland but didn't have much knowledge of Frederick though my Butchers lived there for many years.  Thanks again very much. 3. Jackie, Maryland Herald July 2, 1801 There is a Moses Butcher who had a letter at the Hagerstown P.O. There are also some BUCHER entries in the newspaper extractions. One is a Rev. J.C. Bucher who appears to be marrying people with regularity for awhile. The other entry is for Catherine who lived in Hagerstown for years but died in MIddletown. 2. Ellerton is NOT in Washington County. It is in Frederick County east northeast of Myersville, There are NO cemeteries in the area called Ellerton, but within a mile or so is the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren cemetery, the Harmony Church of the Brethren cemetery and St. John's Lutheran cemetery. Try Names in Stone by Jacob Holdcraft for burials for all of these. Jack Keller ***************************************

    3. Can anyone do any look ups for me in the volumes that have reproduced the church book records for St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hagerstown in the era before 1850? [This book has them:  Mrs. Warren Miller and Mrs. S. L. Greenawalt, editors, Records of St. John¹s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, MD (1966, indexed), vol. 1 and 2, and 3?].  I need the dates of birth and baptism of these children of David A. Brumbaugh and his wife Eve Keessecker (and also the vol. and page # of each--- they may have all been done en masse in 1815 except for the youngest): i. SIMeON K. b. circa 1806 ii.    ELIAS DAVID b. circa 1811 . iii.   NATHAN HENRY b. circa 1813 iv. GEORGE WASHINGTON Andrew Jackson b. circa 1833 I have the other children's records. Many, many thanks. 3. I have not followed all of this until now.About the late 1700's, the grandchildren of the settlers started to marry outside of their church, religion, and ethic nationalities. I saw this in my Ulsterscots lines with marriages to Lutherans and also Brethrens. Apparently ther blond frauliens were better looking !
