    1. Reformed Church Marriages ca. 1782-3
    2. I seek the marriage record of Johann Peter HERR, Hessian Soldier who deserted to the Americans in August 1781, and was held at Ft. Frederick until the war's end in 1783. He appears in Hagerstown with wife, Susannah X, and a child baptised in the German Reformed Ch. of Hagerstown in 1784. The couple had 10 more children recorded in the Hagerstown Church over the years. I cannot locate their marriage record in Hagerstown and think they might have been married in Frederick Co. MD. Can anyone advise me where to look in Frederick and Washington Co. for German Reformed Marriages ca. 1782-3? John Rhodes

    3. Donna Rae: My 4th g grandfather, Michael Yeakle and Caroline "Catherine" Beck were married in York Co, PA in 1767. Were any of these families mentioned. I believe Caroline's parents were George Beck and Anna Susannah "Susan" circa 1750 in York County. The Yeakle name had many spellings, some even with "J." I know there were many with the surname Beck, but just interested in George or Anna Susan. Thanks for your help. 2. Hi Donna, This is Brenda, I'm still looking for anything on Nehemiah Stone b. Abt. 1750 in Montgomery Co. MD married on 3 Mar 1778 in Prince George Co. MD to Susan Leiter. (have no death date for Nehemiah.) I believe he may have died in Washington Co. MD because his son William Stone was born and also died in Washington Co. MD. I think if there had been a will, then Susan might be mentioned and any heirs such as sons, daughters and grandchildren. I am hoping you may even come across a will with Nehemiah's name mentioned in it. Thanks, Brenda

    3. Donna Rae Thank you for your kind offer to do look ups. I would appreciate your looking for the surname Trisler (spelled variously Trissler, Tresler, Tressler, Tritchler, Dressler, etc.) -- specifically I would like to find Peter or Michael, but am interested in any given names with that surname and in the time period of 1740 - 1800. 3. Donna, Christiana STROMAN, b 1775, PA, my 3rd gr grandmother, is one of my Dead Ends. I suspect she was from York County because there was a concentration of STROMANs there. (Name also spelled STRAUMAN, STRAWMAN, STROHMAN, etc.) Would appreciate a check of your book for any evidence of Christiana STROMAN. She married Conrad HERING in PA, but I don't know where. 3. Re: George Winter, b. 1731 in Washington County, MD, died Dec 1798 in Washington County, MD. Listed as a settler on Deakins' survey (Lot 3677). Are there any listers working on this family? I am particularly interested in learning whether or not anyone has been successful in identifying the husbands of two of his daughters: Anna Maria B. ca 1757, and Catherine b. about 1760. I am especially interest in whether or not Anna Maria may have been the wife of Hans Peter Pitzer. Although I have not seen it, I believe George left a will identifying the following children: George, Anna Maria, Daniel, Susan, Andrew, Catherine, Christiana, Margaret, Elizabeth and John Adam. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks. Karen
