    1. [MDSTMARY] William Howard 1728 - 1775 ?

    3. I've probably posted something similar before, but I'm still looking for information on William Howard who may have been the brother of the Thomas Howard who went to Nelson County, Kentucky and died there in 1810. He is not the William Howard born bef. 1665, died 1730 who was married to Mary Melton, or his son William Howard Jr. born bef. 1696, died 1753 who was married to Sarah Smith. If he was the brother of Thomas he would have also been a son of Edward Howard, who was probably born before 1707. I base this William's age on the following record. Timothy O'Rourke, compiler, Catholic Families of Southern Maryland, "State of His Lordship's Manors, 1766, 1767, 1768, Rent Rolls", reprinted by Genealogical Publishing Company, 2003:46 45.[No. of lot or plat] (A) Dec. 25, 1741 [Date of Lease]; (B) Thomas Howard [To Whom Leased]; (C) 80-1/4 [No. of Acres]; (D) Athanatius Ford [Tenant in Possession]; (E) 0-8-9 [Annual Rent]; (F) 1-14-0 [Alienation Fine/Fines Due]; (L) William Howard, Thomas Howard, Nicholas Howard [On What Lives or Term of Years/now held]; (M) William 40, Thomas 28, Nicholas 30 [Ages of Persons mentioned in the Lease and other remarks]. This would mean William was born about 1728, Thomas about 1740 and Nicholas (also unknown) about 1738. William Howard is also listed in the following records. I think they could all be the same man. His connections are also unknown. Thank you for your input or thoughts, Gayle
