Hello all. I am doing some research and need clarification on a couple of items: 1) When Elizabeth (Gerard) Blackistone Rhymer Guibert (daughter of Thomas Gerard I and Susanna Snow--as well as Widow of Nehemiah Blackistone, Ralph Rhymer, and Joshua Guibert I) wrote her Will in SMC in 1716, she apparently clearly named her daughter, "Ann Blackistone"--not "Ann Coode." This would indicate that Ann Blackistone (daughter of Nehemiah Blackistone and Elizabeth Gerard) was still unmarried in 1716. When John Coode II (son of John Coode I and Susanna (Gerard) Slye) died in SMC in 1718, his Widow was, according to everyone, Ann (Blackistone) Coode (daughter of Nehemiah Blackistone and Elizabeth Gerard). It is possible that Ann Blackistone was the Widow of John Coode II but, if the Will of Elizabeth (Gerard) Blackistone Rhymer Guibert is interpreted as Wills are usually interpreted by this List, Ann Blackistone could not have married John Coode II (d. 1718) until after 1716. 2) Does anyone know what happened to Ann (Blackistone?) Coode after the death of John Coode II? There are, apparently, no documents related to the Administration of her Estate. She probably remarried. Years ago, researchers thought she married John Dunbar I--of course, the dates didn't work because John Dunbar I died in SMC in 1709--and, the Widow of John Dunbar I married (2--as his first wife) Thomas Underwood. So, why did anyone ever think that Ann (Blackistone?) Coode married a man named "John Dunbar"? I would very much appreciate any thoughts--proven or unproven--related to the above. As always, thanks! John Dobricky

Hi. Thanks. Is that the same John Dunbar (that is, the individual who was the son of John Dunbar who died 1709) who married (as her second husband) Elizabeth (Guibert) Neale (Widow of James Neale (d. 1752-53--son of Roswell Neale and Elizabeth Blackistone))? Sorry to be so confused. John D. PS: Who was the Ann Blackistone you have married to the John Dunbar (son of John Dunbar (d. 1709))? Thanks again.
