Hi guys, I am still confused with the many John Edwards and who they married. Looking at John Edwards (d. 1791) son of Robert Edwards and Mary Bouroughs: Inventory of John Edwards, CC Inventories 1791-1797, p. 39: 4 Jul 1791 Admin: Sarah Edwards Apraisers: James Waters, John Wheatly NOK: Hezekiah Edwards, Joseph Edwards Creditors: John Forbes, Samuel Morton Final Account of John Edwards, FS - CC Accounts 1791-1798, p. 334; 31 Oct 1796 Admin: Sarah Edwards To: Due to Ann Sothoron tobacco due form note dated 22 Aug 1789 To: Due to Samuel Morton To: Due to Dr. Basil Warring To: Due to Briscoe and Hammerly To: Due to William Cartwright To: Due to Jerimiah Jordon To: Due to John Forbes To: Due to Dyson and Cooksley To: Due to Sheriff To; Due to John Muschett To: Widow 1/3 To: 7 children, Susanna, Elizabeth Turner, Eleanor Wilson, Mary, Anna, Jean, Charles; the first 2 of age and the rest under aged. The names of some of his children are closely related to the children of Edward Turner (d. 1773) and Eleanor Wilson. So, is Sarah, wife of John Edwards (d. 1791), Sarah Turner (b. 1753) the dau. of Edward Turner? Anyone have any thoughts? Randy
Randy, When Eleanor (Wilson) Turner made her will in 1781 her daughter Sarah wasn't married. If Sarah later married John Edwards, she could be the mother of the younger children, but not the two oldest.
