Cuthbert Abell, b. 1720 and died 1785 was the son of John Abell, Sr. and his first wife--name not known. Cuthbert Abell married Mary Clarke, dau. of Thomas Clarke and Grace Greenwell. John Abell, Sr. (Cuthbert's father) married second, Frances Wilkinson, dau. of William Wilkinson and Catherine ? and widow of Robert Hutchings. John Abell Sr. was married to a daughter of Edward Fisher. Her first name is not known. 1/13/1712: Admin. accts. of Edward Fisher, SMC. NOK: John Abell and Thomas Beatson. 5/13/1714: Admin. accts. of Edward Fisher, SMC. Payments to: John Abell for his wife (unnamed, a child's part); Thomas Batson for his wife (unnamed, a child's part), Adm., Wm. Thompson (Skinner). The estate was paid by John Taylor.
