Back to this argument. Tom Jennings believes she was Mary Usher. I say she was Mary Fisher. My note to the list, 1/2004: There are those who claim that Mary Usher, daughter of Thomas Usher, was the wife of John Abell based on a land record which named Mary, wife of John Abell, in 1715. This won't work as Mary was named as a minor in her father's will in 1714. She was not old enough to have married John Abell and have had 3 children by 1715. The wife of John Abell of SMC was ____ FISHER, daughter of Edward Fisher. PATENTS E.I.#1 f363-365 1734 Kent Co., Md. Land in Kent Co. which Thomas Usher left to his son, George & his dau.
