Spalding JR and Alethaire had a son, Benedict J. III, nicknamed "Ben Slick". Born Jun 1783-died Feb 1870 in Marion County KY. He married three times: Mary "Nancy" Hamilton; Elizabeth Elder; and Eliza McElroy. I have no children listed. There are many descendants of this couple, Benedict Joseph Spalding JR and Alethaire Abell, in KY, including: Hamilton, Simms, Abell, Lancaster, Wathen, Beaven, on and on. Much has been documented, but data from records and personal family trees does get tangled sometimes.
