William Jenkins of Prince George's County made his will on 3/29/1791 in which he devised "Second Thought", where he was then living to his sister Ann Jenkins. On 10/8/1789, John Jenkins of Prince George's County made his will in which he named his children Ann Jenkins, William Jenkins and others. On 11/7/1786, John Jenkins deeded 200 acres of "Second Thought" to his son, William Jenkins for 300 lbs. current money of Maryland stipulating that if William died without issue, the land was to go to his (John's) daughter Ann Jenkins. PG Co. Deeds, HH, 230. On 11/26/1761, Daniel and JANE Scott of St. Mary's County sold 10 acres of "Second Thought" to John Jenkins for 3 lbs. "which is not yet already conveyed". Jane Scott "acknowledged that she was at age of 21" and gave up her right of dower in the said land. (PG Co. Deeds, RR, 177). I found no more deeds for Daniel and Jane Scott so I'm not sure what happened to the rest of the land. Thanks Linda. what was peeking my curiosity was why Samuel Higgs was named as an Exec. for Luke Nichols. Knowing that Samuel Higges wife was named Jane, I am still not 100% sure she was Jane Branson, I wanted to see if she may have been Jane Coode. Since the deed from Luke Nichols and his wife Susannah Coode was made in 1752, there should be another one around the same time for the other half of the tract from Jane Coode. However Samuel Higgs Jr. would have been too young at that time to be married and Jane Coode too old to be his wife. It looks like Jane Coode may be the wife of Daniel Scott. It makes sense. The Coode's were close to the Scotts during that time frame. Luke Nichols was the Exec. for Mary Ching. Mary was the daughter of Edmund Farr. Out of curiosity do you see any relationship between them?
