I have one son William H. H. Martin. I am seeking parents of Charles and Maria and any additional offspring. I have many if not all of William's children. The parents of Charles Martin remain a mystery to me. I don't know his father's name, but his mother's name was Jane (I don't know her maiden name). Jane married second, Philip Cusic 15 Jun 1803. Jane made a will in 1837 naming her son Charles Martin as her executor. Charles Martin married first, Maria Thompson (as you said) June 5, 1828. Maria died between 1845-1850. Charles Martin married second, Elizabeth Thompson May 30, 1852. I believe that Maria Thompson and Elizabeth Thompson were sisters and the children of James Thompson and Winifred Drury who were married December 23, 1805 at St. Francis Xavier RCC. In 1840 Charles Martin was named trustee for James Thompson, insolvent debtor. Their brother was John B. Thompson who made a will in 1854. When it was probated in 1856, it was noted that "Elizabeth Martin, the only sister of the deceased, did not object to the probate." Descendants of Charles Martin Generation No. 1 1. He married (1) MARIA THOMPSON 05 Jul 1828 in St. Mary's Co., MD, daughter of JAMES THOMPSON and WINIFRED DRURY. She was born Bet. 1806 - 1810 in St. Mary's Co., MD, and died Bet. 1845 - 1850 in St. Mary's Co., MD. He married (2) ELIZABETH THOMPSON 30 May 1852 in St. Mary's Co., MD, daughter of JAMES THOMPSON and WINIFRED DRURY. She was born 1816 in St. Mary's Co., MD, and died Aft. 1860.
