i got this records about 12 years ago from tom jennings.. i haven't researched philip b. key other then to know he married rebecca jowels sothoron. as we study our families "facts" few traces remain of the personalities. i was at christ church in chaptico when linda reno pointed out philp b. key's grave.. if my recollection is accurate, it was rebecca jowles sothoron who the first wife of key.. key asked that rebecca be exhumed and her casket be laid on top of his casket at christ church in chaptico. the key / sothoron / edwards families have rubbed elbows for a long time. i think the joseph edwards here is of robert edwards.. here's the record i got from tom.. *1798 *Federal Direct Tax for Upper and Lower St. Clements (St. Mary's > Co.
