Someone sent this to me. I was wondering if someone had seen it before: 16:210 15 December 1696 ST. M. CO MD ROBERT CARVILLE, procurator for PHILIP COX (p CV) and his wife SARAH relict and administratix of JOHN JOHNSON (SM) for self and SARAH daughter of said JOHNSON by said SARAH vs CAPT SAMUELL procurator for THOMAS COURTNEY (SM) and his wife Elinor. Mentions FOBBE ROBERTS (SM) who 20 years ago went to Holland. Said ROBERTS made Will bequeathing to nephew JOHN JOHNSON and niece ELINOR COURTNEY. Said COURTNEY detains the estate. It says John Johnson's wife SARAH married Philip Cox by 1696. It says John Johnson and Sarah had a daughter Sarah. John Johnson who died 1687 had a wife MARY and a daughter named Sarah (and one named Mary) By 1688, MARY, widow of this John Johnson remarried John Rose. John and Mary also had a son named John - he was the eldest. When Mary Rose died abt 1719 she did not mention her son John or a granddaughter named Sarah. So is the John Johnson above who died before 1696 and married a Sarah, John Johnson, Jr, son of John Johnson (died 1687) and Mary? .
