On 10/30/1667, Henry Taylor of SMC, Taylor proved his right to 50 ac. for his time of service performed and also to 100 ac. more for transporting his wife Mary and his child, Grace. Will of William Cartlyne (Catlyne), SMC 2/1/1667-5/19/1669. To: Elizabeth Barber, Thomas Covey, James Paddison, Luke Barber, Joshua Guibert, and Henry Taylor, personal estate. Exec. not named. Wit: Gregory Rouse, William Gater. He patented "Kingston", 50 ac. in Newtown 100, 6/7/1670 which was possessed by John Wheatley and John Fossee in 1707. He patented "Hampton", 100 ac. in Newtown 100 10/8/1672 which was possessed by John Wheatley and John Fossee in 1707 (Chr. of SM). Will of Henry Taylor, Sr., SMC 3/27/1698-3/8/1700. Son: Henry, 50 ac. if he comes to take possession of it. Children: Grace Greenwell, John, William, and Thomas Taylor personal estate. Wife: residuary legatee of estate, real and personal including plantation which is to pass to son James at d. of his mother. Exec: Not given.
