The only possible link I have is for a Susan Jean Gatton who married John Ignatius Raley (B,abt 1869) s/o John Stephen Raley and Jane Ellen Davis. His second wife, and mother of Samuel, was Elizabeth, widow of ____Medley. I don't know the first wife of Benjamin Gatton, but by this wife he had a daughter named Verlinda Gatton. Will of Thomas Gatton, P.G. Co., 9/23/1772-11/24/1772. Granddaughter: Verlinda Gatton, eldest dau. of my son Benjamin, one negro. Daughter: Mary Bean, one negro and 20 lbs. sterling. Grandson: Thomas Bean, stock. Daughter: Lurainia Howard, one negro. Grandson: Jesse Phillips, one negro and stock. Son: Azariah, Exec., a negro girl named Dorcas; colt; bed; sein and ropes. The Mary Jarboe who married Samuel Gatton was born prior to 1784.
