MARY'S COUNTY COURT (Land Records) A 1, 1777-1827, MSA CE 121-1 (page21) (My abstract) At the request of Bennet Gough the following deed from Philip Norris and Margaret, his wife, and Charles Gregory Greenwell with the endorsement thereon of the former enrollment was recorded under the Gen'l Assembly act of 1831. Indenture made 2/26/1798 Philip Norris and Margaret, his wife on one part and Charles Gregory Greenwell, devisee of William Greenwell, dec'd on the other.Whereas, the said Margaret, while a widow on Dec. 3, 1796 did by her certain obligation convey her right and title to a tract of land called "Hampton" which she got of Ignatius Medcalf and Alben Greenwell by a good deed unto afsd William Greenwell, who did by his will nominate and constitute the afsd, Charles Gregory Greenwell his devisee.     3. Tom, I guess you are asking same question who is this Ignatius MEDCALF below? I would like to know also. Is this Phillip NORRIS the one who married Barbara Ann NORRIS and Margaret COMBS daughter of William COMBS and Mary Eleanor TANEY? I have Charles Gregory GREENWELL married to Monica Williams and I have him as son of William GREENWELL and Monica FENWICK. And who does this Alben Greenwell belong to? Jerry Clark Hi ST.
