    3. Dottie Himes [djhimes@bellsouth.net]Wrote: Attention Jerry Clark Re your page 2 below and the following, do you know who Francis Herbert may have married? I have a Francis Herbert b ? and d Aug 1857 married to an Elizabeth Head, and do not know if this could be the same Francis Herbert b. 2-22-1788 below?? My Comments: I have the Francis HERBERT born abt 1698 died 1754 St. Mary’s County, Maryland who married Elizabeth HEAD as the son of William HERBERT and Eleanor PATTERSON, but have no documention to support it. I don’t know if I got that info. From Mary Donnelly years ago. I know nothing about Francis HERBERT son of Jeremiah HERBERT. These are some notes I have which seem to indicate Francis Herbert married Elizabeth HEAD Resent-Date: Tue, 7 Nov 2000 18:00:12 -0800 X-Original-Sender: smoller@jps.net Tue Nov 7 18:00:10 2000 From: "SMoller" <smoller@jps.net> Old-To: <MDSTMARY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tue, 7 Nov 2000 17:21:53 -0800 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Priority: 3 Subject: [MDSTMARY-L] SEWELL / HEAD WILLS To: MDSTMARY-L@rootsweb.com Resent-From: MDSTMARY-L@rootsweb.com Hello List, Could someone put me straight on the relationships mentioned below? >From my research this is the way I understand it: Cuthbert Sewell mentions sisters Mary Sewell that married Leonard Green, Elizabeth Sewell married Frances Herbert. But......from more research I find that Adam Head is his step-father, and Priscilla Head is the daughter of Adam Head and Ann Head (see 2nd will below). Notice Ann is not mentioned in Cuthbert's will. But in Ann's will she calls Elizabeth Herbert and Priscilla Head daughters. So I conclude the following: Ann ____ m/1st Sewell and had, Cuthbert Sewell, Elizabeth Sewell m Frances Herbert, Mary Sewell m Leonard Green, Grace Brooke (mentioned could also be a Sewell, as she is holding some of Cuthbert's personalty) Grace m/1st John Boone, and m/2 Robert Brooke. Ann _____m/1st Sewell, m/2nd Adam Head and had Prissilla Head, some researchers say Grace Brooke could also be a Head. Also notice in Ann's will, she's leaving Adam land called "Provention". Possibly she was left this thru her Sewell husband? I hope I'm not confusing anyone. And someone can fill in the blanks. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
