I realize that many already know these connections but I find it very interesting how my Virginia grandparents siblings intermarried with those who come from Maryland.   My 4th great grandparents are Vivion Daniel who married Elizabeth Vivion.  Vivion parents are James Daniel and Margaret  Vivion. They were in Middlesex County, Va and Vivion Daniel moved to Kentucky.  Margaret is the daughter of John Vivion and Margaret Smith.   One of Vivion Daniel's brother's is Peter Daniel who married Sarah Travers daughter of Rawleigh Travers and Hannah Ball.  Peter Daniel and Sarah Travers  son is Travers Daniel who married Frances Moncure and their son is  Dr. John Moncure Daniel who married Margaret Stone  which leads to the Stone's and to Dr. Gustavus Browne and Frances Fowke of Maryland among others.   Hannah Ball is linked to my Conway line : Col. Edwin Conway III who married Anne Ball daughter of Joseph Ball and Elizabeth Romney.  He is the grandson of my 9th great grandparents Edwin Conway, Sr. and Martha Eltonhead.  The Conway line plus Alice Eltonhead, that married Henry Corbin, sister to my Martha Eltonhead, leads to this:   James Madison was the Fourth President of the United States. His term was from March 1809 to 1817. He is also the cousin of the 12th president, Zachary Taylor. He connects two ways to President George Washington: Edwin Conway (James' first cousin twice removed) married Ann Ball (half sister) of Mary Ball Washington, Mother of President George Washington. Also: Colonel Francis Thornton III (James' first cousin twice removed) married Francis Gregory, first cousin of President George Washington. Her mother Mildred Washington, is the sister of Augustine Washington. (Georges' Father.)   Also, my grandmother Martha Eltonhead that married Edwin Conway, Sr. sister Alice Eltonhead marreied Henry Corbin which the Lee's of Virginia  descends to  Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lightfoot Lee, two signers of the Declaration of Independence and Gen. Robert E. Lee among others.   Plus Hannah Ball's sister Frances married John Carter son of Thomas Carter and Katherine Dale.  I have A Dale line from Virginia but haven't connected it to this one as I am still researching that one.   This world is smaller than what we think and it definitely shows the connections between the Virginia and Maryland families who had descendants that also moved to Kentucky.   Marianne Dillow
