Jackie, Ok. Are we saying that John Barton MILES married Rose Ann PAYNE and Sarah HOWARD? Then who did Barton Elexius MILES marry? Is everyone confusing these two men and their children? I guess I need more info. On Barton Elexius MILES. I had Barton Elexius MILES and Rose Ann PAYNE were the parents of Henrietta MILES who married Charles Fowler MATTINGLY. Henrietta MILES also has a Brother Elexius MILES. I do not think Barton Elexius MILES is John Barton MILES- two different people. I also don't think Sarah HOWARD married Barton ELEXIOUS MILES. Sarah HOWARD married a John MILES. I see no proof yet that shows a JOHN Barton MILES married to a Sarah HOWARD. Unless we have another Sarah HOWARD married to some other ? MILES. I also don't think Barton Elexius MILES is John Barton Elexius MILES. We are confusing Barton Elexius MILES with John Barton MILES. To be honest I have never been able to find the son after these deeds but then I haven't looked that hard. But I THINK you would be placing people in their 40s getting married and having a number of kids unless you are missing a generation. I have four children listed for John Barton Miles & Rose and I have often thought there should be a couple of more. 1. Henrietta Miles (b. 1791 d. aft 1850.) m. 1st Charles Fowler Mattingly and probably 2nd Patrick Roney 2. Elexius Mattingly (for whom I have little) 3. John Miles (for whom I have little) 4.
