Jerry, My files agree with everything you have below except that John Medcalf (as well as William Medcalf) was the son of George Medcalf and Elizabeth Jarboe. He was George's son, but not Elizabeth Jarboe's. I have him as George Medcalf and a first, unknown wife. He was born too early to have been Elizabeth's son. John Medcalf was born before 1686 and George Medcalf didn't marry Elizabeth Jarboe until 1698-1702. William Medcalf, Jr. is the one who m.
