    3. I'm going to a bit of back tracking this morning. Company has just about all gone home so now I can have some time to try and catch up, etc. I found one little record that changed my mind on this. 3/3/1787: Deed from Elizabeth Joy and Ignatius Medcalf to Jeremiah Milburn for "Fibney", 84 1/2 ac. {AT:005/CSM:27:02:015}. Courtesy, Pete Himmelheber. There is no other information on this deed so it doesn't tell me the relationship between Elizabeth Joy and Ignatius Medcalf, but I have to assume mother and son. Perhaps Charles Joy didn't name Ignatius in his will because he knew that Ignatius had already gotten land. Below is how I now show the family of John Medcalf and Elizabeth French.     3. Linda, The Elizabeth FRENCH who married John MEDCALF, did she also marry a Charles JOY son of Charles Joy and Margaret GOLDSBERRY? Is Charles Joy her 2nd husband? John Medcaff 114.29 SM £40.14.5 Aug 7 1773 Oct 10 1773 Appraisers: Enoch Fenwick, John Ford, Creditors: Archibald Campbell for John Glassford & Co., Nathaniel Ford. Next of kin: George Howard, John Wimsatt. Administratrix: Elisabeth Medcaff. Is this George HOWARD the one who married Anastatia SPINK, if so the John Wimsatt married Sarah HOWARD daughter of George HOWARD and Anastatia SPINK.
