Hello. I have some Suit and Dent questions: I am working on the family of Dent Suit who died in 1792 who was father of Benjamin. This "Dent Suit" (Suite) had a wife named "Eleanor" yet I see some people say her name was "Eunice"--were there 2 different wives of this Dent? **Where did Eunice come from? This "Dent Suit" was s/o the elder Thomas Suite, d. 1765 (and maybe Christian Dent.) He had a brother named Thomas and a brother named John and a sister. According to Dent's father, Thomas Suite (Sr.)'s will, Dent had a brother Thomas (Jr.) who had a son named "John Dent Suite." Question-- Was this "grandson" of the elder Thomas Suite, the same man who died in St. Mary's Co MD in 1795 who was named J"ohn Dent Suit"?? This John Dent Suit's will was very vague--leaving everything to his wife and not mentioning any children or relatives? In the 1780's a man named "Dent Suit" had a deposition taken at his home relating to Cooksey. Not long after, we see a man also named "Dent Suit" and some other Suit's showing up Granville Co NC by 1786. Was this Dent Suite in Granville co NC, the SAME "Dent Suite" who was father of Benjamin? My confusion is this question I have: **If so, did he come back to MD in 1790--or were there 2 different Dent Suit men? If different, then who was the man named "Dent Suit" in Granville Co NC? Who were his parents? Was he the John Suit who married Susannah Locke? I ask this because we see one man named "Dent Suit" in 1790 census records in Granville Co NC, and then also see one in St.Mary;s in 1790. Was this the SAME man who returned to MD that same year? We do know that the Dent Suit who was father of Benjamin died in 1792 with a will in SMC. Did the son of the ELDER man named Thomas Suite, Sr. (d.1765) who was named Thomas Suite (Jr.) possibly go to Halifax Co NC before the Revolution?) What happened to Thomas and who were his children? If so, was Thomas Suite, Jr. (who was his wife??)--(or Samuel Suite who was in Northhampton Co NC) possibly the father of Richard Suite (d. 1801 & had wife Rebeckah) and Mary Ann (probably Suit) Edwards, widow of Joseph Edwards (from SMC to Halifax NC)?
