The Stratford girls are another issue. Admin. accts. of Joseph Stratford 1/8/1688. Payments to: Arthur Thompson, Robert Bailey, Mr. James Martin, Mr. Luke Gardiner, William Stone. Admx., Mary Stratford (Skinner). NOTE: I believe this is what Donnelly used to determine that he had daughters and they married his payees! Was Arthur Thompson married to a Stratford? I don't know. He was married a second time to Susanna Carberry, 11/20/1695. Susanna Carberry was the mother of only one of his children--another daughter named Mildred Thompson, born 1696 and d. bef. 1719 who m. Archibald Pike. Colonial Settlers of St. Clement's Bay by Mary Louise Donnelly states that Susanna Carberry was the daughter of John Baptist Carberry and his first wife. Something WRONG here. She did NOT marry her uncle. Perhaps she was from a first marriage of John Baptist Carberry prior to Ann Thompson. Will of Arthur Thompson, St. Clement's Bay, St. Mary's Co., 12/15/1701--no probate date. Son: Sebastian, personal estate. Son: John, 1/2 land lying by brother Carberry's. Daughter: Tecla, residue of land. If she dies without issue to pass to wife, Susanna. Youngest daughter, Mildred house and lots in St. Clement's Town and 100 ac. on Duck Pond. Son: Oswald, 100 ac. on Duck Pond. Testator provides that at the d. of brother, John Carberry, his plantation be recovered at the expense of 5 eldest children, viz., Sebastian, John, Oswald, Mildred Shercliffe and Tecla Thompson. Wife: Susanna, Exec. and residuary legatee of estate, real and personal, including all land in Baltimore Co. Wife to have charge of estate left to youngest daughter Mildred. Wit: Nicholas Guylick, James French, Martin French, John Cissell. Fenwick states that his will was probated 12/14/1702. She as Mildred Pike along with her brother Sebastian Thompson and Archibald Pike witnessed the will of Thomas Davis in 1711. Linda Reno ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry L.
