    1. [MDSTMARY] Monica Ford vs. Monica BRADBURN
    2. Jerry L. Clark
    3. Linda Reno Previously I had Monica FORD married 1st to Thomas SHERCLIFFE, 2nd to Henry BRYAN and third to William WILLIAMS. So If I understand you correctly Monica Ford now just married Thomas SHERCLIFFE and William WILLIAMS? And Monica BRADBURN married ____Redman (I think it was probably Jeremiah) bef. 1738 and second, Henry Bryan. In reference to this. Monica Bradburn, daughter of William Bradburn and Elizabeth Shercliffe, married ____Redman (I think it was probably Jeremiah) bef. 1738 and second, Henry Bryan. Monica Bradburn and Henry Bryan were the parents of Eleanor Bryan, b. 1746, who married Philip Miles and moved to Nelson Co., KY. By her first husband ____Redman, Monica Bradburn had a daughter Monica Redman who m. her cousin, Thomas Shercliffe, Jr. (son of Thomas Shercliffe and Monica Ford) who died in Charles Co. in 1791.

    3. Jerry, Monica Ford was married only to Thomas Shercliffe. Henry Bryan was married only to Monica Bradburn, widow of ____Redman. Monica ____was married to William Williams. I really think she was Monica Wimsatt, dau. of Richard Wimsatt and Teresa Ford. She's the Monica Williams named in the will of Robert Ford III and was Robert's niece. Robert Ford III m. first, probably Rachel Howard, and had by her a daughter named Monica who m. John Fenwick. Monica was his only child. His will below names his daughter, her husband and children, his brothers, his sister Teresa and then Monica. I still haven't figured out who Susanna and Margaret Dunn were. Will of Robert Ford, SMC 1753-1/31/1754. Wife: Teresa, dwelling plantation and land contiguous. After her death to grandson Joseph Fenwick (if no heirs) to granddaughter Margaret Fenwick (if no heirs) to granddaughter Mary Fenwick (if no heirs) to daughter, Monica Fenwick. To: Son-in-law, John Fenwick and daughter, Monica Fenwick all land where John Fenwick now lives and after their death to grandson, Robert Fenwick. To: Susanna Dunn, dau. of Margaret Dunn, 2 young negroes. Sister: Teresa Wimsatt, 1000 lbs. tobacco and all accounts that appear on my book against her or debts due to me. Brothers: John Ford and Peter Ford, each 1/2 of my wearing apparel and 1000 lbs. tobacco each. To: Monica Williams, a negro wench named Moll now in the possession of William Williams, her husband. To: the poor within 6 miles of where I live, 8000 lbs. tobacco. To: Peter Ford, Jr. 30 lbs. sterling; 1000 lbs. tobacco; 5 barrels of corn; and all debts due to me. Wife: Teresa, 1/3 of my personal estate and appoint her Exec. Wit: John Hall, Jr., John Cole, Henry Wimsatt. The will of Richard Wimsatt names daughter Monica and doesn't indicate she was married at that time. but she was of full age and I think she was already married. Will of Richard Wimsatt, SMC 2/10/1752; proved in SMC Court 2/26/1752. First son: Richard, land that was my father's called "William's Endeavor", 125 ac. Second sons: Robert and Henry, dwelling plantation, 241 ac. called "Wimsatt's Frolic". 4th son: Ignatius, 20 lbs. MD money. Four daughters: Mary, Monica, Dorothy, and Susanna Wimsatt, furniture. Wife: Teresa, furniture. Execs: Wife, Teresa and my first two sons Richard and Robert. Wit: Peter Ford, Ignatius Jarboe, William Jackson, Robert Wimsatt. His admin. accts., 2/26/1752, next of kin: Sons, Robert and Henry, Exec: Wife, Teresa and sons Richard and Robert (Skinner). Admin. accts. of Richard Wimsatt 4/15/1753 by Teresa, Richard, and Robert Wimsatt, Execs.; Children: Richard, of full age; Robert, of full age; Henry, age 19 on December last; Ignatius, age 14 on April next; Mary, of full age; Monica, of full age; Dorothy, age 12 years on August next; and Susanna, age 9 on October next (Moxey). This whole thing changed the family of William Williams. I have changed it as follows. Without ages, it's hard to figure but I think that his children James and Monica belonged to Monica Wimsatt (because James named a daughter Monica and because of the name of Monica Williams herself) and possibly Joseph was her son.
