That Elizabeth GREEN married Andrew Sympson. And Elizabeth Shercliffe daughter William Shercliffe and Mildred Thompson is not a very likely prospect either, I think what Linda Reno has on her is correct, that she married Frances Spink and William Bradburn. So I would say Elizabeth ? of uncertain Parentage married Alexander HAMILTON. -----Original Message----- From: [3]mdstmary-bounces@rootsweb.com [[4]mailto:mdstmary-bounces@rootsweb.com ] On Behalf Of SHIRLEY MOLLER Sent: Tuesday, November 11, 2008 2:10 PM To: [5]mdstmary@rootsweb.com; Linda Reno Subject: Re: [MDSTMARY] Hamilton Alexander and Elizabeth Shercliffe? Hello Linda Reno Re your email below, you asked does anyone have documentation to prove that it was Elizabeth Shercliffe who m. Alexander Hamilton. First, are you talking about the Alexander Hamilton b 1682-1731 ..........if so he married Elizabeth Shercliffe Green daughter of Robert Green and Mary Boarman and did not marry Elizabeth Shercliffe, I believe these are two different women. So are you talking about the Elizabeth Shercliffe d/o William Shercliffe who d 1707 .......then she could have married 1) Francis Spink 2) William Bradburn. Sorry I do not have any data on the Elizabeth Shercliffe do William I can not swear that I am 100% correct, but according to my records, I think this is right. Maybe others can add to this.
